The Proud Parents!
Check out Shae's pregnancy progression... We are excited to tell you that our litter of 11 puppies was born Wednesday March 5, 2008 from 1:03am to 11:35am. There are 6 girls and 5 boys. All of the puppies are black & tan. Shae is doing a fantastic job being a first time Mommy and all is well! See the puppy pictures on M&M Bloodhounds' site.
This litter was co-bred with Sherick's Bloodhounds and whelped at M&M Bloodhounds. Puppies will be ready for homes mid spring to early summer time frame. With limited showing, majority owner/handled, the sire of this litter has had quite a show career! He finished his championship very quickly and with 4 majors, two by going best of breed over ranked specials. He loves to show and everyone comments on how his tail never stops wagging! He has finished the past three years ranked in the top 20 Bloodhounds. He is a multiple best of breed winner, multiple award of merit winner and multiple group placer. In 2007 with averaging less then one show weekend per month he has been in the rankings. He has been invited to the AKC Eukanuba Classic the last three years. Most of all this big 'ole guy has quite the personality. He is a goofy boy and makes his family laugh everyday. He has sired one litter to date, producing six out of six show quality puppies. Everyone who meets the dam of this litter falls in love with her and wants to take her home. She has a magnificent personality and enjoys all the attention anyone would like to give her. Then she'll come back for more :) She also quickly finished her championship quickly and one major highlight of her show career was going best of breed at an American Bloodhound Club regional specialty, out of the 9-12 month puppy class! That same day she went on to take a group 4 placement! She is a very easy keeper, she does not require the usual maintenance that Bloodhounds do. She has very thin skin and it's hard to keep your hands off of it! :)

On April 30, 2008 we welcomed 10 new Bloodhound babies into the world! There are 3 liver/tan females, 4 liver/tan males and 3 black/tan males. Zoe and her babies are doing very well! There are puppies still available from this litter to approved homes only. This litter was co-bred with Molly Nye - M&M Bloodhounds - and was whelped at Sherick's Bloodhounds. The sire of this litter is a Belgian import and has done very well here in the states! He has had a very winning show career with limited showing, all owner handled. He is a best in specialty show winning Bloodhound and has won several awards of merit including his most recent one at our past American Bloodhound Club's National Specialty. He has finished the past several years in the top twenty for both breed points and all breed points. To date he has sired four litters and has produced several conformation champions as well as hard working trailing dogs. He is a beautiful boy and has a very easy to get along with personality! The dam of this litter is a lovely girl with a beautiful, congenial personality! She gets along well with all people and other dogs. At home she lives with a young toddler and they are the best of friends! She is a very healthy and happy girl! Zoe has produced one litter and it was an outstanding litter with six out of six show quality puppies. Three of those puppies are currently in the show ring with many wins to date! Tired Mom, Zoe and her new babies! For Zoe's comfort, and to keep things easily cleaned during and after whelping, we decided to give her a haircut :) just before she had her puppies. She feels great and is enjoying her new groom job!
